We are proud to present to you an exciting exhibition by five young, Iranian artists. This is a unique opportunity to experience contemporary, Iranian art in Norway.
Mehdi Mansouri / (born 1976, Tehran) is an Iranian contemporary photographer and a member of National Iran Photography Society. For over 10 years he was shooting for advertisement, modeling and portrait photos.
Each collection of his photo collages narrates a story inspired by his life experiences and his inside and outside condition and contains subjects like Birth, Death and Consciousness as well as stages in life like Marriage, Separation, Wealth, Love, Hate, Fame, Addiction and so many other challenges that human beings struggle with nowadays. The stories are sometimes straight forward or, other times, refers to an old tale.
He had several exhibitions in Iran, France, Italy and Albania, but “Madam Butterfly” is the name of the series he is presenting in this exhibition. “Madam Butterfly” : The lady achieved the gentleman, lost him and commited suicide. We find things, make an identity out of them and die in them or wake up our consciousness?

Pedram Lasani / (born 1979) is an Iranian contemporary photographer, studied fashion photography in Central Saint Martins Collage of Art and Design in London and now for over 10 years he has his own studio that shoots for advertising, modeling and portrait.
His obsession is stage and creative photography. His first solo exhibition (2003), which was about earthquake, was in Tehran and he continued with several solo and group exhibitions in Tehran, London, Tirana (Albania), Paris and recently in Art Fair Genova (Genoa, Italy).
“The Necessity of Sin”, his latest collection, in collaboration with Asra Madani is a stage photography about forbidden fruit, goodness and badness in modern world.
Asra Madani / has studied industrial design and business and administration. She collaborated with Pedram Lasani in “The Necessity of Sin” Collection which brought social sensations into conceptual photography.
Leila Fathi / (born 1978) is an Iranian artist based in Vancouver. She took painting seriously from her childhood. None of her family member is a stranger to art, so it was natural for her to be a member of The Institute of the Intellectual Development of children and young adults in very early age. Her technique is Acrylic on Canvas and social sensations is the most crucial story in her paintings which are influenced from every day news of her society.
She has master in illustration and studied painting and drawing for 8 years. She had several exhibitions in Tehran, Dubai, Toronto and Beirut.

Saeedeh Jaberianmahmoud / (born 1987) is an Iranian Artist based in Oslo. Recognizing world of color and painting mostly after graduated Electronic and Computer Engineering, she got so obsessed with making colors and painting that in no time she had a group exhibition about women influence in art that inaugurated by ex-president Khatami. After that she had several exhibition in Iran until last year when she moved to Oslo.
Most of her artworks refers to the world of women with no judgments. She believes showing everything as it is, is the best way to understand it, nothing more is needed.
